Rows 2-15: Ch 2, hdc in BACK LP of each hdc across; turn.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.

HAT: Ch 37.
Row 1 (Right Side): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across; turn - 35 sts.
Rows 2-44: Ch 2, hdc in BACK LP of each hdc across; turn.
Fasten off.
Top Shaping: With right side facing, attach yarn to work across long edge; ch 1, sc in side of each row across; turn - 44 sc.
Decrease Row: Ch 1, * draw up a lp in next 2 sc, yarn over and draw through 3 lps on hook - sc2tog made; rep from * across; turn - 22 sts.
Next Row: Rep Decrease Row - 11 sts.
Next Row: Ch 1, [sc2tog] 5 times, sc in last sc - 6 sts. Fasten off, leaving a long tail of yarn.
Weave tail through top lps of remaining sts, gather tightly, fasten securely. Sew back seam. Fold edge of hat up for brim.
