NOTE: Hold four strands together as one throughout.
Foundation Chain: With 4 strands of CA held together as one, chain 101.
Round 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook, * chain 8, single crochet in next chain; repeat from * to last chain; TURN and work along opposite side of chain; chain 8, single crochet in same chain as last single crochet, ** chain 8, single crochet in next chain; repeat from ** across. Fasten off CA.
There are now loops on both sides of the chain. The next round will be worked down the center of the chain between those loops, forming loops on the front and back of the chain.
Round 2: Join CB in first single crochet; chain 1, single crochet in same place as joining, * chain 8, insert the hook down into the next space of the foundation chain and up and out the next space and complete a single crochet (this will be down the center of the chain and between previous loops made); repeat from * down the chain; flip the boa and work in the same manner across the opposite side. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
