NOTE: Motifs are joined into 9 strips of 10 motifs, and then the 9 strips are crocheted together. After the first motif of a strip, the remaining 9 motifs will be joined while working Rnd 4.
MOTIF 1: With CB, ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 4, [dc, ch 1] 11 times in ring; join with a sl st to 3rd ch of ch-4.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, [yo and draw up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook] twice all in next ch-1 sp, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook – beg cl made; ch 3; * [yo and draw up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook] 3 times all in next ch-1 sp, yo and draw through all 4 lps on hook – cl made, ch 3; rep from * around; join with a sl st to top of beg cl. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join CA in any ch-3 sp; ch 1, sc in same sp, [ch 5, sc in next ch-3 sp] 11 times; ch 2, dc in first sc to join and form last sp.

Alternating Motifs 1 and 2, join 8 more motifs in this strip. Make 8 more strips and arrange them with motifs alternating as shown.
