NOTE: Throw is made in strips, then sewn together.
STRIP 1 (Make 6): With larger hook and CB, ch 13. Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn = 11 sts. Row 2: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in each dc across and in top of ch-3; turn. Rep Row 2 until 30 rows in all have been worked. Continue in dc and work [2 rows CA, 2 rows CB, 2 rows CA, 30 rows CB] twice. Fasten off.
STRIP II (Make 5): With larger hook and CA, ch 24. Work same as Strip I over 22 sts until 10 rows in all have been worked. Continue in dc and work 10 rows CC, 10 rows CA, then [2 rows CB, 2 rows CA, 2 rows CB, 10 rows CA, 10 rows CC, 10 rows CA] twice. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew strips together, alternating Strip I and Strip II across as pictured.
Edging: With right side facing and smaller hook, attach CC in any st and work 1 rnd sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with a sl st to first sc; turn. Work 2 more rnds sc with wrong side facing, working 3 sc in each corner sc; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends. |
