SQUARE (Make 40): With larger hook and CA, ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, ch 2, [3 dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times; join with a sl st to top of ch-3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in ch-2 sp **, dc in next 3 dc; rep from * around, end at **; join.
Rnds 3-5: Ch 3, [dc in each dc to corner, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) all in ch-2 sp] 4 times, dc in each dc to end; join – 19 sts between corner sps at end of Rnd 5. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: Join CB in any sp; ch 1, * (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) all in sp, sc in next 3 dc, dc around the post of the next dc, (NOTE: always skip the st(s) behind posted st(s)), sc in next dc, tr around the post of the dc on Rnd 4 below next dc, sc in next dc, dtr around the post of the dc on Rnd 3 below next dc, sc in next dc, trtr around the post of the dc on Rnd 2 below next dc, sc in next dc, dtr around the post of the dc on Rnd 3 below next dc, sc in next dc, tr around the post of the dc on Rnd 4 below next dc, sc in next dc, dc around the post of the next dc, sc in next 3 dc; rep from * around; join to first sc.
