Shape Armholes: Dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows – 31 (33, 37) sts. Work even until armhole measures 1 row less than Right Front, end RS row.

Divide for Back Neck: Ch 2, hdc in next 6 (6, 8) sts, dec. Fasten off. Skip center 15 (17, 17) sts; join CA in next st; ch 2, dec, hdc in last 6 (6, 8) sts. Fasten off.

Left Front: With RS facing, skip next 6 (6, 7) sts; join CA in next st; ch 2, hdc in same st and in each st across; turn – 19 (20, 22) sts. Dec 1 st at armhole edge on next 3 rows – 16 (17, 19) sts. Work even until armhole measures 2½ (3, 3½)", end RS row.

Shape Neck: Sl st in first 7 sts, ch 2, hdc in same st as last sl st, hdc in each st across; turn – 10 (11, 13) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 3 (4, 4) rows – 7 (7, 9) sts. Work 1 (0, 2) rows even. Fasten off.

SLEEVES: With CA, ch 28 (28, 30).
Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 26 (26, 28) sts. Work in rows of hdc, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of 5th row, then every 4th row until there are 34 (36, 40) sts. Work even until 8 (9, 11)" from beg, end WS row.

Shape Cap: Sl st in first 4 sts, ch 2, hdc in same st as last sl st, hdc in each st to last 3 sts; turn – 28 (30, 34) sts. Dec 1 st at each end of next 5 (5, 6) rows – 18 (20, 22) sts.

Next 1 (2, 2) Row(s): Ch 2, [dec] twice, hdc in each st to last 4 sts, [dec] twice; turn – 14 (12, 14) sts. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Sew shoulder and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Edging: Mark positions for 5 buttonholes along right front edge. With RS facing and matching colors to garment, join CB at lower corner of Right Front; ch 1, sc up right edge, 3 sc in corner, sc around neck, 3 sc in corner, sc down left edge; do NOT turn.

Next Row: Working from LEFT to RIGHT and matching colors as before, work Reverse sc in each sc to first marker, [ch 2, skip next 2 sc, Reverse sc to next marker] 4 times, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, Reverse sc in each sc to end. Fasten off. Sew buttons to left front.

Flower-Rnd 1: With CA, ch 2; 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st in first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around; join – 12 sc. Fasten off.

First Petal-Row 1: Join CD in front lp of any sc; ch 1, 2 sc in same sc, 2 sc in next sc; turn – 4 sc.

Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn.

Row 4: Ch 1; draw up a lp in each of next 2 sc, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook – sc2tog made; sc2tog over last 2 sc. Fasten off.

Second to Sixth Petals: Join CD with sl st in front lp of next sc of Rnd 2; ch 1, 2 sc in same sc, 2 sc in next sc; turn – 4 sc.
