Rnd 2a: Ch 3, * sl st in front lp of next dc, ch 3; rep from * around; sl st in back lp at top of ch-3 of Rnd 1. Rnd 2b: Ch 3, 2 dc in same st as joining, 3 dc in back lp of next dc, ch 3, skip next st, * [3 dc in back lp of next dc] twice, ch 3, skip next st; rep from * around; join to top of ch-3.
Rnd 3: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, skip next dc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) all in ch-3 sp, * skip next dc, dc in next 4 dc, skip next dc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-3 sp; rep from * around; join in back lp of ch-3.
Rnd 4a: Ch 3, * dc in back lp of each dc to ch-3 sp, dc in back lp of next ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) all in back lp of next ch, dc in back lp of next ch; rep from * to last 3 dc; dc in back lp of last 3 dc; join to top of ch-3. FINISHING: Sew squares together: 7 wide x 7 high.
