FELTING: Place Pots in washer with several towels or pairs of jeans and mild laundry detergent. Run everything through a hot-water wash/rinse cycle and remove to observe felting process. Complete felting should be very thick with no visible stitches and could take up to 3 wash/rinse cycles until desired results are obtained. (NOTE: If your hot water heater is prevented from going above a certain temperature to prevent scalding, bring several large saucepans of water to a boil on the stove and add to hot water in washer. The felting process depends on the temperature differences of very hot water to wash and cold water to rinse.) Remove Pots after last wash cycle and tug and pull sides into desired shape, inserting glass bowls to help hold shape, if desired. Trim off any undesirable fuzz, fringes or balls of yarn. Place Pots in a warm location (such as on top of the clothes dryer, by a heat vent or in the sun) and allow them to dry thoroughly, which may take several days.
