COASTER-Color Variation 1: With CA, ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (Right Side): Ch 3, 14 dc in ring; join with a sl st in top of ch-3 – 15 sts. Fasten off.
Rnd 2: With right side facing, join CB in any st; ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join with a sl st to first sc – 30 sts. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: With right side facing, join CC in any sc; ch 1, [sc in sc, fpdc around next dc of Rnd 1] 15 times; join. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join CA in top of first fpdc; ch 1, [sc in fpdc, 2 sc in next sc] 15 times; join – 45 sts. Fasten off.
Rnd 5: With right side facing, join CB in any sc immediately before a fpdc; ch 1, [sc in sc, fpdc around next fpdc, sc in sc] 15 times; join. Fasten off.
Rnd 6: With right side facing, join CC in any fpdc; ch 1, [sc in fpdc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 15 times; join – 60 sc. Fasten off.
Rnd 7: With right side facing, join CA in any sc immediately before a fpdc; ch 1, [sc in sc, fpdc around next fpdc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 15 times; join – 75 sts. Fasten off.
Rnd 8: With right side facing, join CB in any fpdc; ch 1, [sc in fpdc, skip next sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next 2 sc] 15 times – fifteen 5-dc shells. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Weave in ends. Set washer to small load and fill with hot water, adding a small amount of laundry detergent. Place two pairs of old jeans in washer. Agitate for approximately 30-45 minutes or until coasters are desired size. Rinse in cold water to stop felting and spin. Remove from washer. Smooth coasters flat and allow to dry thoroughly.
