Starting in center, ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

Round 1 Ch 3 (counts as dc now and throughout), 13 dc in ring – 14 dc. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch-3.
Round 2 Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining; *2 dc in next st; repeat from * around – 28 dc. Join as before.
Round 3 Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining, dc in next st; *2 dc in next st, dc in next st; repeat from * around – 42 dc. Join.
Round 4 Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining, dc in next 2 sts; *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts; repeat from * around – 56 dc. Join.
Round 5 Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining, dc in next 3 sts; *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts; repeat from * around – 70 dc. Join.
