PROJECT NOTES: To change colors in sc: Draw up a loop in last sc, drop working color, yarn over and draw new color through 2 loops remaining on hook to complete sc. Stripe Pat: Work 2 rows CA and 2 rows CB. Carry colors not in use loosely along side of work.
COZY: With CA, ch 13. Row 1 (Wrong Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn – 12 sc. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in back loop only of each sc across; turn. Working in Stripe Pat, repeat Row 2 until piece measures approximately 8" from beginning, ending with CB and a wrong side row. Fasten off, leaving a 12" end for sewing.
ASSEMBLY: With right side facing and short edges aligned and working through top of last row and remaining lp of foundation ch, sew short ends together. Weave in ends.
WREATH: With CC, ch 15; join with a sl st in first ch to form a circle; ch 1, [sc in ring, ch 10] 40 times; join with a sl st in first sc – 40 loops. Fasten off, leaving a 15" end for sewing.
FINISHING: Sew wreath to front of Cozy, leaving loops free. With CA, make a chain 8" long. Fasten off, trim ends and tie in a small bow. Hold Cozy with color floats at bottom edge. Tack bow to center top of wreath. |
