Special Stitch Used: Long Sc = Elongated sc worked over the previous rnd.

Square Motif (Make 150 total): With CA, ch 4; join with slip st to form ring.

Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3, (dc, ch 1, 2 dc) into ring, *ch3, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) into ring; rep from * twice more, ending with ch 3, slip st to top of beg ch3; join. Fasten off CA.

Rnd 2: With RS facing, join CB with a slip st in any ch-3 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same sp, *ch 3, insert hook in center of ring, yo and draw up a lop to height of current rnd, yo and through 2 lps – long sc made, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-3 sp; rep from * around, ending with ch 3, long sc, ch 3, slip st to top of beg ch 3. Fasten off CB.

Rnd 3: With RS facing, join with a slip st in any ch-2 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same sp, *sc in each of next 3 dc, 3 tr in next long sc, sc in each of next 3 dc, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around, end with sc in next 3 dc, 3 tr in next long sc, sc in next 3 dc, slip st to first sc.

Rnd 4: Slip st in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same ch-3 sp, *dc into next 11 sts, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next ch-3 sp; rep from * around, end with dc into next 11 sts, slip st to top of beg ch 3. Fasten off.

Finishing: With RS facing, whipstitch or weave squares tog into ten strips of fifteen squares. Whipstitch or weave strips tog.

Border: With RS facing, attach CA with a slip st to any corner ch-3 sp, ch 1.

Rnd 1: (Sc, ch 3, sc) in corner ch-3 sp, *ch 1, skip next dc, sc in next dc; rep from * around, working (sc, ch 3, sc) in each corner ch-3 sp, end with slip st to beg sc. Fasten off CA.

Rnd 2: With RS facing, join CB with a slip st to any corner ch-3 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) in corner ch-3 sp, *ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * around, working (sc, ch 3, sc) in each corner ch-3 sp, end with ch 1, slip st to first sc. Fasten off CB.

Rnd 3: With RS facing, join CA with a slip st to any corner ch-3 sp, ch 1. Rep Rnd 2. Fasten off.
