finishing instructions

WOVEN SEAM
Woven seams are flat, smooth and elastic. To make a woven seam, place the sections right side up and side by side on a hard, flat surface. Thread a large, blunt-pointed needle with a 20 inch (51 cm) length of matching yarn. Weave the yarn back and forth alternating from one side to the other, picking up corresponding yarns in each stitch (10). Be sure to match rows and patterns. Stretch the seam slightly before ending to incorporate elasticity, then make several backstitches into the seam and clip yarn close to work.
