How to make a gauge swatch
Work several inches of Frame #1 or Frame #2 with specified thread and hook. With size 10 thread the width of the frame strip should be approx 3⁄4"/2cm wide. With size 3 thread the width of the frame strip should be approx 1"/2.5cm wide.
Note Frame strips are worked from corner to corner. Four strips are then sewn together at corners to form frame. For each frame, make 4 strips. For a 5" x 7"/12.5 x 18cm frame make two 5"/12.5cm and two 7"/18cm strips. For an 8" x 10"/20.5 x 25.5cm frame make two 8"/20.5cm and two 10"/25.5cm strips.
