SPECIAL STITCHES:

Reverse Half Double Crochet (Rev Hdc): Yo, working in opposite direction, insert hook in st indicated, yo and pull up a lp, yo and pull through 3 lps on hook.

Row 1 (RS): With smaller hook, ch 135. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea ch across; turn – 134 sts.

Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn.

Row 5:Ch 3, sk first st, * dc in next 2 sts, sk 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, working behind tr, tr in first sk st and in next sk st, sk 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, working in front of tr, tr in first sk st and in next sk st; rep from * to last 3 sts, dc in last 3 sts; turn.

Row 6: Ch 3, sk first st, * dc in next 2 sts, sk 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, working behind tr, tr in first sk st and in next sk st, sk 2 sts, tr in next 2 sts, working in front of tr, tr in first sk st and in next sk st; rep from * to last 3 sts, dc in last 3 sts; turn.

Rows 7-10: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn. Rep Rows 5-10 23 times more. DO NOT FASTEN OFF.

FINISHING:

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly spaced around entire outer edge, working 3 sc in each corner; join with a sl st to first st.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each center corner st; join.

With larger hook and two strands of yarn held together as one, sl st to first sc.

Rnd 3: Join a second strand of yarn, with larger hook and two strands held together as one, * ch 1, sk 1 sc, rev hdc in next sc; rep from * around; join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
