Crewel Lily-of-the-Valley Tablecloth (1960)
With just a few easy stitches and Anchor Embroidery Floss, you can transform a basic, store bought tablecloth into a hand-made treasure that will showcase your creativity and talent!
Originally published in the 1960's, you can easily adapt the colors to suit your decor. Green not your thing? Try a deep shade of blue for your background. The simple design only requires three colors, which are easy to change in order to compliment the tablecloth color you choose. You can even use Anchor Marlitt Rayon threads or a touch of Metallic to add a fresh sparkle! The sky is the limit with this timeless design.
Adding a set of napkins is a breeze. Simply choose a set of plain napkins in a matching or complimentary color, and add a tiny "sprig" of embroidery from the original design!
Full instructions for the Lily of the Valley Tablecloth can be found in our Free Project library, as well as a handy "Stitches Sampler" if you need to "brush up" on any of the simple stitches used in this elegant embroidery pattern.
