Anchor Pearl Cotton No. 5, color combinations to suit your decor needs.

Huck fabric (or prefinished items featuring panels of "huck" fabric woven into the product).

Tapestry Needle, No. 24

tips and getting started

Huck toweling (or huck fabric) has vertical loops on one side and horizontal loops on the other; each set of directions below states on which side the design is to be worked.

Cut Anchor Pearl Cotton into 30-inch lengths.

When beginning weaving, leave 3 inches of thread free. When weaving is complete, weave back through the design for 1 inch, and finish off the 3-inch length in the same manner.

When starting a new thread in the center of a row, begin weaving 1 inch before end of previous thread.

When article is completed, place embroidery face down on a soft towel and press well on wrong side of embroidery.
