Casting On - Loop Method
There are dozens of ways to get those first stitches on your needle: here’s one way that’s super easy to learn and very effective for beginner projects.

With a needle in your left hand and your finger holding the stitch, make a loop of yarn over your right forefinger.

Fig 2
Insert the needle through the loop.

Fig 3
Slip the loop off the finger and onto the needle. Tighten gently.
