Next Rnd: [K6, K2tog] 12 times - 84 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K5, K2tog] 12 times - 72 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K4, K2tog] 12 times - 60 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K3, K2tog] 12 times - 48 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K2, K2tog] 12 times - 36 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K1, K2tog] 12 times - 24 sts. K 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: [K2tog] 12 times - 12 sts.
Next Rnd: [K2tog] 6 times - 6 sts. Work even for 3/4". Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Weave yarn tail through remaining sts, draw up tightly, fasten securely.
SCARF
Cast on 64 sts and divide evenly on 3 needles; join, being careful that sts are not twisted. Place marker between last st and first st and slip marker every rnd.
Rnds 1 and 2: * K2, P2; rep from * around.
Eyelet Rnd 3: * K2, P2tog, yo; rep from * around.
Rnd 4: Rep Rnd 1.
Now work even in St st (K every rnd) until approximately 77 1/2" from beg.
Next Rnd: Rep Rnd 1.
Next Rnd: Rep Rnd 3.
Next 2 Rnds: Rep Rnds 1 and 2. Bind off in pat.
Fringe: Cut 80 12" strands of yarn. Fold scarf so that 8 eyelets on front and back of each end are aligned. Holding 5 strands together, fold in half forming a loop. With the crochet hook, draw the loop through aligned eyelets and both layers of the scarf, draw the yarn ends through the loop and tighten. Repeat across each end of scarf.
Trim yarn ends.
LEG WARMERS
Cast on 68 sts and divide evenly on 3 needles; join, being careful that sts are not twisted. Place marker between last st and first st and slip marker every rnd.
Rnd 1: * K2, P2; rep from * around.
Rep Rnd 1 until 2 3/4" from beg. Now work in St st (K every rnd) until approximately 9 1/4" from beg, then rep Rnd 1 for 2 3/4". Bind off in pat. |
