Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10: Purl.
Rows 3 and 9: K1, * K1, yo, K1, SK2P, K1, yo, K2; rep from * across.
Rows 5 and 11: K1, * K2, yo, SK2P, yo, K3; rep from * across.
Rows 12-15: Knit.
Rows 16 and 18: Purl.
Row 17: K1, * yo, P2tog; rep from * across.
Rows 19-23: Knit.
Row 24: Purl.

Shape Shoulders: Bind off 6 (7, 8, 9) sts at beg of next 4 rows. Put rem 35 (39, 43, 47) sts on holder.
FRONT: Work same as Back until armhole measures 3 1/2 (4, 4 1/2, 5)", end P row.
Divide for Neck and Shoulders: K17 (19, 21, 23) sts; turn and put rem sts on a holder. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 5 K rows – 12 (14, 16, 18) sts. Work even until same as Back to shoulder, end P row.
Shape Shoulder: Bind off 6 (7, 8, 9) sts at beg of next row. P 1 row. Bind off rem 6 (7, 8, 9) sts.
With right side facing attach yarn to rem sts, K center 25 (29, 33, 37) sts and put them on a holder, K to end. Complete to correspond to first side, reversing shaping.
SLEEVES: Cast on 41 (41, 49, 49) sts. Knit 4 rows. Purl 1 row. Work in Border, then St st, same as Back, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of 19th row, then every 4th row until there are 55 (59, 63, 67) sts. Work even until 10 (11, 12, 12)" from beg, end P row.
Shape Cap: Bind off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows – 45 (49, 53, 57) sts. Dec 1 st each end of every K row 7 (7, 7, 8) times – 31 (35, 39, 41) sts. Bind off 2 sts at beg of next 8 rows, then 3 sts at beg of next 0 (0, 2, 2) rows – 15 (19, 17, 19) sts. Bind off.
FINISHING-Neckband: Sew left shoulder seam. With right side facing, K across 35 (39, 43, 47) sts on back holder, pick up and K15 sts down left neck edge, K25 (29, 33, 37) sts on front holder, pick up and K15 sts up right neck edge to shoulder – 90 (98, 106, 114) sts. Knit 2 rows. Bind off. Sew neckband and shoulder seam. Sew sleeve and side seams. Set in sleeves. |
