Rep Rows 2 and 3 for pat for 2". Dec 1 st each end of next row. Work 9 rows. Dec 1 st each end of next row – 51 (57, 63) sts. Work even for 2". Inc 1 st each end of next row. Work 9 rows. Inc 1 st each end of next row – 55 (61, 67) sts. Work even until 10 (11, 12)" from beg, end WS row.

Shape Armholes: Bind off 5 sts beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end of next 4 rows – 37 (43, 49) sts. Work even until armhole measures 7 (8, 9)", end WS row.

Divide for Neck/Shoulder: P10 (12, 14); turn and put rem sts on a holder. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 RS rows – 8 (10, 12) sts. Bind off. Join yarn to sts on holder; bind off center 17 (19, 21) sts, P to end. Complete to correspond to first side, reversing shaping.

FRONT: Cast on 55 (61, 67) sts.

Row 1 (RS): P20 (23, 26), Cable Pat Row 1 over next 15 sts, P20 (23, 26).

Row 2: K20 (23, 26), Cable Pat Row 2 over next 15 sts, K20 (23, 26). Cable Pat is now in position.

Continue in Reverse St st and appropriate rows of Cable Pat for 2". Dec 1 st each end of next row. Work 9 rows. Dec 1 st each end of next row – 51 (57, 63) sts.

Work even for 2". Inc 1 st each end of next row. Work 9 rows. Inc 1 st each end of next row – 55 (61, 67) sts.

Work even until 10 (11, 12)" from beg, end WS row. Bind off 5 sts beg of next 2 rows.

Dec 1 st each end of next 4 rows – 37 (43, 49) sts.

Work even until all 64 rows of Cable Pat have been worked, then rep Rows 1 and 2 ONLY until armhole measures 6½ (7½, 8 1/3)", end WS row. Divide for Neck/Shoulder: P11 (13, 15); turn and put rem sts on a holder. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 3 RS rows – 8 (10, 12) sts.

Work until front measures same as back to shoulder, end RS row. Bind off.

Join yarn to sts on holder; bind off center 15 (17, 19) sts, P to end. Complete to correspond to first side, reversing shaping.

SLEEVES: Cast on 27 (29, 31) sts.

Row 1 (RS): P6 (7, 8), pm, TK5, P5, TK5, pm, P6 (7, 8).

Row 2: K to marker, TP5, K5, TP5, K to end.

Row 3: P to marker; TK5, P5, TK5, P to end. Pat is now in position. Rep Rows 2 and 3 for pat, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of 5th row, then every 4th row until there are 51 (57, 63) sts. Work even until 17 (18, 19)" from beg, end RS row.

Shape Cap: Bind off 5 sts beg of next 2 rows. Bind off 2 sts beg of every row until 17 (15, 17) sts rem. Bind off.

FINISHING: Sew shoulder, sleeve and side seams.

Edging (Worked around neck, lower body and sleeve edges): With RS facing and crochet hook, attach double strand of yarn at a seam; ch 1, sc evenly around; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
