BACK: Cast on 70 (78, 84, 92) sts. Beg with a P row, work in St st until 14” from beg, end P row.

Shape Armholes: Bind off 9 (11, 12, 15) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Work even on 52 (56, 60, 62) sts until 20 (20 1/2, 21, 21 1/2)” from beg, end P row.

Divide for Neck/Shoulder: K11 (13, 15, 16) sts, join a new skein and bind off center 30 sts, K to end. Working sides separately and at the same time, dec 1 st at each neck edge every row 3 times. Work even on rem 8 (10, 12, 13) sts for each shoulder until 21 1/2 (22, 22 1/2, 23)” from beg, end P row. Bind off.

Lower Edge Trim: With wrong side facing, pick up and K70 (78, 84, 92) sts across cast-on edge. Bind off knitwise.

FRONT: Work as for Back until 11 (11 1/2, 12, 121/2)” from beg, end P row.

Divide for V-Neck: K35 (39, 42, 46) sts, join a new skein and K to end. Work sides separately and at the same time.
Next Row: Purl.
Dec Row: K across to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1; for next side, K1, sl 1, K1, psso, K to end. Rep last 2 rows 8 times more, then dec every 4th row 9 times AND AT THE SAME TIME, when 14” from beg, shape armholes same as for Back. After all decreases, work even on 8 (10, 12, 13) sts for each shoulder until same length as Back, end P row. Bind off. Work Lower Edge Trim same as for Back.

SLEEVE CABLE PANEL (Worked over 18 sts):
Row 1 (Right Side): P1, K2tog, yo, K2, P1, K6, P1, K2tog, yo, K2, P1.
Row 2: K1, P2tog, yo, P2, K1, P6, K1, P2tog, yo, P2, K1.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Row 5: P1, K2tog, yo, K2, P1 yo; slip next 3 sts onto right-hand needle, K in front and back of next st, K2, pass the 3 slipped sts over the 4 sts just worked – cable made; yo, P1, K2tog, yo, K2, P1.
Row 6: Rep Row 2.
Rows 7 and 8: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Rep Rows 1-8 for Sleeve Cable Panel.

SLEEVES: Cast on 38 (40, 42, 44) sts.
Foundation Row (Wrong Side): P10 (11, 12, 13) sts, place marker; K1, P4, K1, P6, K1, P4, K1, place marker, P10 (11, 12, 13) sts.
Row 1 (Right Side): K to marker, sl marker, work Sleeve Cable Panel Row 1 to next marker, sl marker,K to end.
Row 2: P to marker, sl marker, work Sleeve Cable Panel Row 2 to next marker, sl marker, P to end.

St st and panel are now established. Keeping continuity of panel rows and working sts outside markers in St st, shape sides by inc 1 st each end of 11th row, then every 6th row until there are 54 (58, 60, 64) sts, working added sts in St st. Work even until 14 1/2 (15, 15 1/4, 16)” from beg, ending wrong side row. Bind off. Add Trim to lower edge as for Back.

FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves,sewing upper 2 1/2 (3, 3 1/4, 4)” to bind-off sts of body. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Neckband: With right side facing and circularneedle, beg at right front, pick up and K45 sts up to shoulder, 43 sts across back, and 45 sts down left front to center “V” – 133 sts. Do not join but work back and forth in rows.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): P1, * K1, P1; rep from * across.
Row 2: K1, * P1, K1; rep from * across.Rep Rows 1 and 2 for ribbing for 3 1/4”. Bind off in ribbing. Cross right over left band and tack in place.
