STRIPE PAT: Row 1: With CB, K.
Row 2: With CB, P.
Row 3: With CB, K.
Row 4: With CC, P.
Rows 5-7: With CA, rep Rows 1-3.
Row 8: With CB, P.
Rows 9-11: With CC, rep Rows 1-3.
Row 12: With CA, P.
Rep Rows 1-12 for Stripe Pat.

BACK: With CA and smaller needles, cast on 69 (77, 85, 93) sts.
Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * P2, K2; rep from * across.
Row 2: * P2, K2; rep from * to last st; P1.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for rib for 2¾", end Row 2. Change to larger needles, CB, and St st, beg K row, and work in Stripe pat until 16" from beg, end P row.

Shape Armholes: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end of every K row until 53 (61, 69, 77) sts rem. Work even until 7½ (8, 8½, 9)" above bind-off, end P row.

Shape Shoulders: Bind off 9 (12, 15, 19) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Put rem 35 (37, 39, 39) sts on a holder.

FRONT: Work same as back until armhole measures 2" less than back, end P row.

Divide for Neck: K17 (20, 23, 27), turn and put rem sts on a holder. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row until 9 (12, 15, 19) sts rem. Work a few rows even until front measures same as back to shoulder, end P row. Bind off.

With right side facing, leave center 19 (21, 23, 23) sts on a holder, attach yarn to rem 17 (20, 23, 27) sts and K to end. Complete to correspond to first side, end K row before binding off for shoulder.

SLEEVES: With smaller needles and CA, cast on 39 sts. Work in rib same as for Back for 2¾". Change to larger needles, CB, and St st, beg K row, and work in Stripe pat, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of 7th row, then every 8th row until there are 49 (51, 53, 57) sts. Work even until 17 (17½, 18, 18)" from beg, end P row.

Shape Cap: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end of every K row until 33 (35, 37, 41) sts rem. Work even until 4" above bind-off, end P row. Bind off 2 sts at beg of next 8 rows – 17 (19, 21, 25) sts. Bind off.

FINISHING-Collar: Sew left shoulder seam. With right side facing, CA, and smaller needles, K35 (37, 39, 39) sts across back dec 1 st at center, pick up and K14 sts down left front, K19 (21, 23, 23) sts across front, pick up and K14 sts up right front – 81 (85, 89, 89) sts.

Work in rib same as Back, beg Row 1, for 3", change to larger needles, continue in rib for 4" more. Bind off in rib. Sew rem shoulder and collar seam. Sew sleeve and side seams; set in sleeves, easing in cap.
