Why use a special bobbin thread?

There are many advantages to using a Coats Polyester Bobbin Thread during machine embroidery. It is soft, lightweight, low stretch, and constructed from continuous filament polyester fiber. Low stretch means less puckering and at size 70, it does not add density, thus creating a smooth backing for designs. In addition more thread can be wound on each bobbin, meaning less time spent changing and rewinding bobbins. It is strong resulting in fewer breaks. Use Coats Polyester Bobbin thread (Art. D78) with  any type of embroidery thread--rayon, polyester or metallic. Available in white and black, the 1800 yard mini king spool has the new Coats Button Wrap top for easy thread storage.
