Did you learn to sew in 4-H? Do you have a 4-H Clothing Medal in your keepsakes? For the last 66 years, Coats & Clark has been a 4-H sponsor, including the Clothing and Textiles project and that little medal.

In 2007 we continue to sponsor the Clothing and Textiles project and also are one of the companies providing sponsorship to the National 4-H Congress.

Attending National 4-H Congress is one of the top experiences for a 4-H member. The theme for the 105th meeting of the National 4-H Congress held in Atlanta, Georgia November 23-27 was “Accept the Challenge”. 4-H’ers from all over the country will participated in workshops, community service and cultural activities focusing on leadership and life skills. The 1100 delegates were encouraged to use what they learned to positively impact their peers and home communities.

In 2006, the first Clover House became reality. 4’Her’s across the nation collected and donated dimes to finance building a Habitat for Humanity House which was presented to the homeowner at last year’s conference. This year the delegates began working toward a 2nd Clover House.
