Let’s go to a show!

Fall is a great time to get a group together and go to a needlecraft show. Whether you are attending a show sponsored by your local guild or a regional or national event, you are sure to have fun, learn a lot and maybe do a little shopping!

The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza, Sept 6-9  and the Pacific International Quilt Festival, October 11-14, are two of the largest quilt festivals of their kind on the east and west coasts, respectively.  Both feature  hundreds of  quilts and garments presented in gallery style as well as more than two hundred vendor booths. Coats & Clark has long been a co-sponsor of these shows that also offer workshops and lectures by an international teaching staff.

Quilt Expo in Madison, WI, September 13-15 features lectures from nationally known quilters, Sit & Sew workshops, contests and quilts, quilts, quilts! This show is organized by Wisconsin Public Television and Sewing with Nancy and is sponsored by many companies in the quilting industry, including Coats & Clark. You will have the opportunity to see Nancy Zieman, Fons & Porter, Sue Hausman and other quilting “celebrities”.

Join crochet and knitting enthusiasts from all over the country at the Fall 2007 Knit and Crochet Show sponsored by the The Knitting Guild Association and the Crochet Guild of America September 27-30 in Oakland, CA. Experts from Coats & Clark will be teaching free Teach Me 2 Crochet/Knit classes during the show plus there will be a stitch doctor on hand and a 24/7 Knit & Crochet Lounge. Classes will be taught by instructors from around the world.

The American Sewing Expo in Novi MI, Sept 28-30  is for all who enjoy any form of sewing—fashion, home dec, quilting, all fiber art techniques. Special exhibits, fashion shows, classes and make & take projects, and the vendor fair are just some of the highlights. Demonstrations will be given throughout the show on the Coats & Clark Stage.
