1 . Straps:
Back Strap: Place strap on right side of Case, 1 inch from the top edge, pin. Machine baste ¼ inch a long the side edges. (Illus. 1)

Measure 1 ¼” from each Case side along the webbing. Stitch along this mark to create a channel for the Messenger Bag Strap. (Illus. 1)

Front Strap: Place strap on right side of Case, 2 inches from the bottom edge, pin. Machine baste ¼ inch along the side edges. (Illus. 1)

2 . Flap:
With right sides together stitch the flap, leaving the upper edge open. Turn right side out, press. Topstitch ¼ ” from the outside edge of the flap.

Center flap on right side of Case over the back strap 1” from Case edges. Machine baste ¼ from the top edge. (Illus. 2)

3 . Case & Lining:
Place one piece of lining over the Flap end of the Case right sides together, pin. Pin second lining piece to the other end of the Case. Stitch, being sure to backstitch. (Do not trim seam allowances.) Press open seam allowances. (Illus. 3)

Topstitch 1/4” from the edge of the seams through the seam allowance on both the Lining and Case fabrics. ( Illus. 4)

Fold Case and Lining right sides together; pin. Stitch, starting and stopping 1 ¼” from the corners of the Lining; backstitch and trim. Mark a fold line on the bottom of the Case. (Illus. 5)

4 . Corners:
For case, form the square corners at the bottom of the Case by clipping the seam allowance to the stitching. Form a triangle at each corner by pinning the side seam to the fold line. Mark ½” from the point along each edge. Stitch between the marking; backstitch. Trim seams. For lining, pin seam to the bottom seam, stitch across the triangle ½” from the point. Trim seams.

5. Turn Case right side out. Stitch opening in the Lining closed. To use, detatch strap on the Messenger Bag and insert through the strap channel on the back of the Cell Phone Case.
