CS0120 Football Cornhole Bags

According to http://www.playcornhole.org/, cornhole may have, “originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago.” More recently cornhole has become popular with college students and tailgaters. With only two sets of four corn-filled bags and two platforms, anyone can play cornhole just about anywhere. Make these colorful bags in your team colors and then visit playcornhole.org for all you need to know about playing, scoring and everything cornhole.

Make two sets of four bags and a bag to carry them in your favorite team colors. We used purple and gold. To view and print the pattern, you must have Adobe® Reader® installed.

	supplies

	Two coordinating colors of 60” wide duck cloth, 1/3 yard each, purple and gold Dual Duty XP® general purpose, colors #3690 Purple and #7540 Goldenrod Dual Duty XP ® Heavy Thread, colors #7450 Temple Gold and #4900 Navy Sports print for carry bag, 1/2 yard Fusible web, 1/2 yard 12” wide (like Steam-a-Seam) Dry feed corn, 8 pounds (16 cups) of cracked corn for a less bumpy bag) Template plastic Rope for carry bag, 2 yards (3/16” braided nylon multi-purpose rope used in sample) Duck cloth does not have a discernable right and wrong side, but when important it will be noted for anyone choosing to use fabric other than duck cloth. Letter and number appliqué shapes have also been made available for those who want to individualize their bags.
